Huerto de la Familia Food Booth Open Friday 3/6/15
Check the website for the weekly menu under “Our Work-Food Booth/Menu” or subscribe to our email list to receive alerts! [email protected]. Huerto participants will be selling their own delicious dishes EVERY FRIDAY 3pm-7pm during the regular Sprout! Farmer’s Market at 418 A. Street in Springfield. How it works: Huerto de la Familia now owns a food booth in order to train budding food entrepreneurs to own and operate food-based businesses. Huerto participants are trained in using the certified kitchen to prepare meals, tracking income and expenses, displaying, marketing and selling food products, building a customer base, and learning the health and safety regulations of food businesses. Each participant will sell their product for four consecutive weeks at Sprout! Come support them and taste authentic dishes made by Huerto families ! Huerto Receives Justice of Eating Award !
Huerto de la Familia is thrilled to announce that our organization is the recipient of Food for Lane County’s Justice of Eating Award for 2014 in the organization category. The award honors those impacting hunger here in Lane County. There are four categories: individual, organization or group, business and partner agency.
